SAFE Routes have been established in key Low Water Crossing locations throughout the City of San Antonio so that citizens can easily find Alternate Routes away from flooded roads. 

If you come across a road that has been flooded, “Turn Around Don’t Drown.”  Do not attempt to cross. Seek a SAFE Alternate Route and follow the SAFE route signs away from dangerous low water crossings. 

If you live along a SAFE Route you can download and print specific SAFE Routes and place them in your vehicles glove compartment for future use.
